Ravi’s Dad
A few years ago, Ravi’s beloved father suffered a stroke, which affected his speech and memory. Since then, Ravi has been devotedly caring for him. In September 2024, while Ravi was away in Shirdi, her father was a little poorly; he ate very little and seemed to feel her absence deeply. But when Ravi returned, he started eating again, as if her presence brought him comfort.
Just five or six days after she got back, Ravi noticed remarkable changes. Her father began answering questions with far more clarity than before. When she asked his name, he said it clearly. When she pointed to a shawl and asked the colour, he replied without hesitation, “gold.” His speech, though still a bit limited, was improving noticeably—he was saying more than just “yes” or “no,” and often didn’t need as much prompting as he once did.
Amazingly, he now remembers his children’s names and even his phone number. When Ravi casually asked him, “Dad, where did you used to work?” he immediately responded, “Ford,” without a second thought. These moments have filled Ravi with hope and gratitude, and she deeply believes that these small but significant steps are a blessing from Baba since her visit to Shirdi.
