Lalitha Sahasranama is taken from Brahmanada Purana and divided into three parts. The first one is called ‘Poorva Bhaga’ the middle portion which is called ‘Stotra’ which consists of 1000 Namas (names) and the last portion is called ‘Uttara Bhaga’. The Poorva Bhaga talks about its origin. The Uttara Bhaga gives details of the benefits of recitation of this Lalitha Sahasranamam. Lalitha Sahasranamam came directly from Lord Shiva, who passed it to Nandi. From Nandi, it went to Lord Hayagriva and then to Sage Agasthiyar. Maharishi Vyasa then conveyed it to the world. It is more powerful than any forms of Tantra or Mantra. Lord Hayagriva Chanted Laitha Saharasanamam with the purest intention for liberation.

• To escape from planetary effects (graha dosha, sani dosha etc.), store the water in a pot, and while chanting the 1000 names and sprinkling the water on ourselves can get solve all problems from planets.
• If you chant it, you cannot be affected by negative aura.
• If you read this daily Goddess Lakshmi will stay in your house.
• If you read daily you will have Goddess Sarasvati at the tip of your tongue.
• If you read this in the middle of life, all sins will be pardoned.
• In homes where Shree Lalitha Sahasranamam is chanted regularly there will never be any shortage of the basic necessities of life.
• This is the reason why the ancient Gurus would instruct their disciples to CHANT Shree Lalitha Sahasranamam even after initiating them into the mantras of other deities such as Lord Krishna, Lord Rama and other Gods and Goddesses. Each one of the namam by itself is a powerful weapon for many sorts of day-to-day problems.
