Relationship Coaching

Better relationships begin with a better connection with yourself

Relationships can bring us some of the greatest happiness in life and some of our greatest challenges. Whether it is your partner, family, friends or colleagues, the quality of our relationships can influence how we feel, how we see ourselves and how we experience everyday life.

This is where relationship coaching and guidance can help.

My coaching starts with connection with yourself first. By understanding who you are, what you want, your needs, boundaries and the patterns that may be influencing you, you can begin to approach your relationships differently.

A space to talk openly

My sessions offer a safe, empathetic and non-judgemental space to speak freely about what is happening.Together, we can explore the situation and look at practical ways forward. You may be dealing with an ongoing issue or something that has happened recently.

Coaching can help you develop the skills to communicate more effectively, respond rather than react, manage challenges and make more confident choices.

Relationships with
Partners & Marriage

When love feels complicated

Relationships can start with excitement, connection and hope, but as life and everyday responsibilities take over, things can change. Communication can become difficult, misunderstandings build up and we may start to feel disconnected. Sometimes we may even begin to question ourselves, lose confidence or experience self-doubt.

My coaching sessions bring awareness to what is happening within the relationship. We explore communications, expectations, needs, behaviours and patterns, and look at practical ways to move forward.

The focus may be rebuilding trust and connection, improving communication and learning to handle challenges differently, or gaining the confidence and understanding to decide what you want next.

Looking for love? Start with yourself.

If you are ready to find love, meet a life partner or get married but have become tired or disheartened by dating, it may be time to look at what is happening beneath the surface.

Perhaps you have been disappointed before. Perhaps you feel there is nobody suitable out there. Or maybe you have noticed that you keep finding yourself in the same type of relationship.

When someone tells me they are ready to find their life partner, I might ask:

“Do you know what you want?” and “Do you know who you are?”

These questions can open the door to a deeper understanding of your experiences, patterns, beliefs and expectations, as well as what you genuinely want from a relationship and from your life.

Family Relationships

The people we love can sometimes trigger us the most

Family relationships can be complicated. Whether it’s a parent, in-laws, finding it difficult to connect with your child or teenager, or experiencing tension between siblings. The people closest to us can sometimes bring out reactions in us that surprise us. We may become angry, shut down or say things we later regret.

Taking a step back can help you understand what is behind your reactions. When something triggers a strong emotional response, it can be a sign that there is something deeper that still needs to be healed or worked through. Ravi helps you explore these patterns, gain a different perspective and consider how you want to respond moving forward.

We can work on communication, conflict, emotional reactions, boundaries, parent and child relationships, teenagers, sibling relationships, grief, estrangement and changes within the family.

Family life is changing too. Children and teenagers are growing up with social media, technology and influences that parents may not always understand. Having a space to talk through these challenges can bring a different perspective and a more considered way forward.

Relationships at Work

Monday Blues?

We spend a huge part of our lives at work, so our relationships there matter too. Managers, colleagues and workplace dynamics can affect your confidence, motivation and even how you feel when you get home. You cannot always change the people around you, but you can change how you approach difficult situations.

Our work may include building communication and active listening skills, navigating difficult conversations, building professional relationships, networking, setting goals, managing workplace stress and creating a healthier work-life balance.

Your Relationship With Yourself

The relationship you have with yourself matters too

Before building healthier relationships with others, it is worth looking at the relationship you have with yourself.

      • Do you know what you want?
      • Do you know what makes you happy?
      • Can you say no without feeling guilty?
      • Do you trust yourself to make decisions?

It is easy to become so focused on keeping everyone else happy that we lose sight of ourselves.
Taking time to step back and explore who you are, what you want and what may be holding you back can change the way you approach life and relationships.

Together we can look at patterns, behaviours and beliefs shaped by past experiences and consider how they may still be influencing your choices today.

You may find yourself asking:
“Why does this keep happening to me?”

That can be a powerful place to start.

My role is to give you the space to step back, understand what is happening and look at the situation from a different perspective. Through practical coaching, we can explore your options, develop skills and strategies, and identify the steps you can take to move forward and make a conscious decision for yourself.

Take the next step

You do not need to know exactly what you need before you get in touch. Bring the situation you are facing, and we can talk through where you are, what you would like to change and whether relationship coaching and guidance is right for you.
