Anaghashtami Vratam is an auspicious vrat dedicated to Lord Dattatreya (Anagha Swami) and Goddess AnaghaLakshmi (Anagha Devi). [‘Agha’ means sin, ‘Anagha’ means sinless.] This Vratam serves to cleanse ourselves from the pardonable sins and clear the way to salvation (Moksha)! This vrat can be observed on the Krishna Paksha Ashtami of any Hindu lunar month (Margashirsha preferred). AnaghaLakshmi Devi is considered a combined incarnation of Goddess Saraswati, Kali and Lakshmi.

As per the Pauranik Katha, Anagha Devi is an energy unleashed by Lord Dattatreya. The Katha goes like, Lord Dattatreya had been meditating (Samadhi) inside a river for many years. When it was time to come out of the Samadhi avatar, Lord Dattatreya saw that there were many sages waiting for him, to gain his help, blessings and advices on various things. When the lord saw this, he thought to test those sages first and hence he went back into the depth of the river and this time he emerged along with a beautiful young woman. She was holding a pitcher full of nectar. Assuming that it was wine, some of the sages called her ‘Madhumati’; some called her ‘Nadee’ looking at her dance moves which resembled to the moves of a flooded river; while few others went away thinking that she has distracted Lord Dattatreya. But some, still, realised that she was none other than the Yogic Energy of Lord Dattatreya and bowed/prayed to her. Only these sages obtained the true vision of the Lord and the Goddess, and could transcend all their sorrows. Thus, because of Anagha Devi, their sorrows disappeared. This was the reason why Lord Dattatreya named her as Anagha (one who removes sorrows). Goddess AnaghaLakshmi is, thus considered as, the consort of Lord Dattatreya. These sages prayed to the Lord to reincarnate on the Earth, to keep protecting and guiding the mankind towards the right path.

Hanuman represents immense strength and devotion and let them become a part of your life. Tulsidas Goswami who is an ardent devotee of Rama has written Hanuman Chalisa which consists, 40 verses evoking blessing of Shri Lord Hanuman in whose heart Lord Rama and Sita resides. During intense crises of life, through the inspiration of lord Shiva Tulsidas invokes the blessings of Hanuman ji for devotee’s who recite Hanuman Chalisa. Encapsulated in each verse of Hanuman Chalisa is the complete secret of success of life. Known for his mystical power and miraculous achievements, Hanuman shares a beautiful sublime of oneness with Shirdi Saibaba. It is said that Saibaba used walk around the Hanuman temple in Shirdi and speak in sign language with him. They both are one at cosmos level and both are forms of Lord Shiva.

Reading Satcharitra will enrich your life for greater success and each word gives us insight into our own life. Mind is often termed as mad monkey and we humans are decedents of monkey race. Monkey can idealize monkey due to shared similarities and Humans can idealise Hanuman.

Hanuman was a child, he had such strength and was so mischievous that he caused havoc all around – disturbing the rishis (sages) during their worship, pulling their beards, and even putting them up in trees. So, the rishis cursed Hanuman, saying he would not remember his strength unless he was reminded. “So, the first verses of the Chalisa are to remind Hanuman of who he is. In the last verses we ask him to grant us our wish. And our wish is that he come to live in our hearts, with Ram, Sita and Lakshmana.”

It’s not necessary to ask Hanuman for anything for He is the ‘knower of all hearts.

Sai Ram Ram Ram Ram Ram Ram Ram Ram Ram Sai

Hanuman lives only to serve the God within us and to prepare us to live fully in the spirit.

Mahaparayan Group

I am just a mere instrument, walking on the path that Baba is showing me. The doer ship and credit of bringing all the devotees together and spreading his stories and leela’s is Baba himself.

Mahaparayan is a global platform that our dear lord Baba has chosen for his devotees, to not only serve him but also show devotees guidance. The experience not only enhances one’s own inner self but also through reading, Baba heals us, embraces us and leads us on the spiritual journey of life. I started my journey as a devotee reading two chapters every week on Thursday and ever since Baba has been the guiding force of my life.

Devotee perceive that baba has given messages or timely guidance through Sai Satcharitra and this indeed is an affirmative. Many devotees read this book for years and keep praying to baba with hope that baba will answer his/her prayers and whatever their current state is it will improve. However, devotees end up living in state of hope rather than state of faith. We all as devotee’s need to understand that everything we go through is bestowed up on us due to our own deeds say be it this life or prior lives.

Baba can give us the strength to confront and walk in this journey of life, but he cannot walk on our behalf. Journey is ours and we alone shall accomplish it with the grace of god. Many devotees join Mahaparayan to clear their existing issues and often during the process devotees could be challenged even further. Kindly request devotees to acknowledge that every challenge is a test and all our lord wants you to do is, keep walking but not give up. Holding the book is your weapon that will empower you to conquer this world with attachment and misery. Say be it health, finances, education, job or relationships; please note whatever issues or problems given to you are an opportunity for you to clear your karma and move forward. Don’t take them as setbacks but count them as your blessings. When you see everything that comes on your way as a blessing than you eliminate the line of separation and merge in his pure consciousness …

Shri Sai Satcharitra is a book crafted by Shirdi Sai Baba in which every word exhorts profound deep meaning that when applied to one’s own life, enriches the very core existence of human birth. The ink flowing from the pen is the pure nectar that is coming from the divine lord baba himself which took different shapes as letters and words in the Satcharitra book. When a devotee realises that Satcharitra is not just a book but a lifetime companion, they start carrying it everywhere they go, and loneliness cannot be felt or exist in their lives. Each time you open Satcharitra, there is some message that will relate to answers you are looking for.

Baba spoke very elaborately about the significance of this book, when he was approached seeking permission to write this book. He says that when a devotee reads Shri Sai Satcharitra leaving attachment to body, mind and eliminating ego, they will reach the divine abode. The power of this book cannot be spoken or written but must be felt and that will only happen when baba himself blesses and plans for it to happen. Baba is the controller…Baba is the doer…. Baba is the very existence…. Let him plan…You don’t plan is the gest of this book. Submit yourself to him and when you hold the Satcharitra, it will heal you, comfort you and embrace you with his divine love.

His father was Appala Raju Sharma and mother Sumathi Maharani. His devotees believe that he had holy marks in his feet. The incidents mentioned in each stanza of this prayer refer to incidents in his life. Lalitha Sahasranama is taken from Brahmanada Purana and divided into three parts. The first one is called ‘Poorva Bhaga’ the middle portion which is called ‘Stotra’ which consists of 1000 Namas (names) and the last portion is called ‘Uttara Bhaga’. The Poorva Bhaga talks about its origin. The Uttara Bhaga gives details of the benefits of recitation of this Lalitha Sahasranamam. Lalitha Sahasranamam came directly from Lord Shiva, who passed it to Nandi. From Nandi, it went to Lord Hayagriva and then to Sage Agasthiyar. Maharishi Vyasa then conveyed it to the world. It is more powerful than any forms of Tantra or Mantra. Lord Hayagriva Chanted Laitha Saharasanamam with the purest intention for liberation.

Devotees Can Chant Daily or only on Fridays. Recitation is up to devotees wish dedication and convenience

– If Chanted, you get benefits of taking 1 crore baths in the Ganges.

– Gets benefit of feeding 1 crore Brahmins during a famine time.

– Gets benefit of teaching 1 crore students.

– To escape from planetary effects (graha dosha, sani dosha etc.), store the water in a pot, and while chanting the 1000 names and sprinkling the water on ourselves can get solve all problems from planets.

– If you chant it, you cannot be affected by negative aura.

– If you read this daily Goddess Lakshmi will stay in your house.

– If you read daily you will have Goddess Sarasvati at the tip of your tongue.

– If you read this in the middle of life, all sins will be pardoned.

– In homes where Shree Lalitha Sahasranamam is chanted regularly there will never be any shortage of the basic necessities of life.

– This is the reason why the ancient Gurus would instruct their disciples to CHANT Shree Lalitha Sahasranamam even after initiating them into the mantras of other deities such as Lord Krishna, Lord Rama and other Gods and Goddesses. Each one of the namam by itself is a powerful weapon for many sorts of day-to-day problems.

Adhik masa is an extra month in the Hindu lunar calendar that comes every three years is inserted to keep the lunar and solar calendars aligned. It is also known as Purshottam Masa. The results of any Vrat/Pooja done this month and worshipping Lord Vishnu nullifies ones sins. Adhik masa is also considered dear to our supreme Lord Shree Krishna, who has blessed this month to be as good as him.

Why is it called Adhik Masa/Purshottama Masa?

There were 12 lunar months and each month was assigned to one God. Rishi munis calculated and facilitated purshottam Mahina to balance solar and lunar years. Since it is Maal (unclean) Masa, therefore no Lord agreed to become the deity of this month. Lord Vishnu was then approached, Lord Vishnu took pity and assigned the Maal Mass to himself. Since Lord Vishnu is the Lord of the month it is called purshottam masa.

Devotees awake early in the morning during Adhik masa (purshottam) and worship Radha-Krishna or Lakshmi Narayan and Vrat / Pooja is performed during this month.

🕉 🕉 Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha 🕉 🕉

We all know through reading Sai Satcharitra how much baba loves Ganesha. Let us pray to Ganesha on this Special occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi to remove the obstacles in our Life. Ganesh Chaturthi is the festival of the birth of Lord Shree Ganesha (the god of prosperity and wisdom). Lord Ganesh is also considered ‘Vigna Harta’. The One who removes obstacles in devotees lives.

Ganesha is the younger son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. According to the story of Ganesh’s birth it was said that Goddess Parvati created Ganesha out of dirt on her body while having a bath and set him to guard her body while she finishes having a bath. Shiva who has gone out returned at that time, but as Ganesha didn’t know of him, stopped him from entering. An angry Shiva severed the head of Ganesh after a combat between the two. Paravati was enraged and Shiva promised Ganesh will live again. The devas went in search of a head facing north of a dead person could only manage the head of an elephant. Shiva fixed the elephants head on the child and brought him back to life.

Let us bow down to Ganesh in order to receive his blessings. By receiving his grace we pray for him to remove any potential obstacles in our lives and enables our endeavours to succeed. The mantras/Pooja are not compulsory, you can do as more or little as you want depending on your time /convenience and or devotion.

Janmastmi is a special celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna also known as Gokulashtmi. Shree Krishna is considered the avatar of Vishnu who was born to Devaki and Vasudeva. As the story goes on he had to be taken to Nanda and Yashoda who raised him due to a threat to his life. Krishna was born during midnight hence Janmastmi is celebrated over the two days and is usually observed by fasting.

As Krishna was known as the makanchor (the one who steels butter). Devotees celebrate this by hanging pots of butter from tall poles in the street. This is an imitation of Shree Krishna’s childhood as when he used to play with cowherd boys, they stole curd hung out of reach by their mothers.

Procedures for Janmastmi Vrat Pooja

– Devotees who observe fast on Janmastmi usually fast for whole day as sankalapa to Lord Krishna and breakfast next day. Some devotees observe Ekadashi rules with no grains until next day. We will be meditating on Lord Krishna with the following chants: We would like this offering to be an offering by the atma ram within us and merge into Krishna consciousness and to seek lord Krishna’s blessings on this special day of Janmastmi.

Shravan Mass is one of the most holiest and auspicious months in the year and is dedicated to Lord Shiva and every day of the Shravan month has special significance. A lot of devotees observe fast during the month of shravan, by praying and worshiping to Lord Shiva during this time.

Shravan Monday’s are highly auspicious during shravan month as Lord Shiva loves Monday’s and always loves to be worshipped especially on Shravan Somvar.

Shravan month is auspicious to Shiv ji due to the fact that the churning of the ocean samudra manthan took place in the month of Shravan, fourteen different types of rubies came out. Thirteen were distributed amongst the asuras (demons) and devas (divine beings) except halahala (poison). It was Lord Shiva who drank the halahala and stored it in his throat. Since then Neelkantha (meaning blue throat) is attributed to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva wore the crescent on his head to negate the effects of the poison. It is also believed that all the gods offered water to from the holy river Ganga to cool Lord Shiva and alleviate the effects of the poison.

Please join our shravan month group where we will be offering prayers to our Dear Lord Shiv ji and Mata Parvathi. Let’s together worship Lord Shiva with dedication and a pious heart to ward off difficulties in our and families life’s and ward off any obstacles.
